Tea in the Garden

In keeping with the English tradition of taking tea in the garden,
The Cats Meow Daylily Garden will be offering tea and scones or tea cake
for your enjoyment on every Saturday and Sunday
from 9:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. during our season. Thursday and Friday also by special request.

Please call to verify holiday weekends and regular schedules for
tea in the garden at Cats Meow Daylily Garden.

You will receive a personal sized pot of tea,
scone with double cream and strawberry preserves, or a serving of tea cake.
Herbed iced tea with seasonal fruit may be substituted for the pot of tea.
You may enjoy your tray of tea in any one of the numerous gardens,
the gazebo, front patio or back porch.
Personal pot of tea, or herbed steeped ice tea with seasonal fruit,
scone with double cream and strawberry preserves $7.00,
or tea cake in place of scone for $ 8.00 including tax.

June 23, 2012 ,   9:30 - 3:00, Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee celebration
Here Ye, Here Ye. Calling all royal subjects. The Cats Meow Daylily Garden announces the celebration of Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee. Her Royal Highness marks her sixty years as Britain’s longest reigning Monarch. A contest for the most royal and most outlandish English themed decorated hat will be held. Hat judging will be held at 1:00 p.m. Complimentary royal refreshments provided.
July 8, 2012,   9:30 – 3:00 Halloween in July celebration
Join us for a spook-tacular time in the new Halloween Daylily garden, featuring Halloween themed daylilies and garden decorations. Come in a Halloween costume and receive a 25% discount on your daylily purchase. Complimentary ghoulish treats will be offered.
August 19, 2012, 9:30 - 3:00 In The Garden With Jane Austin
Pride and Prejudice, Persuasion, Emma, Sense and Sensibility – which is your favorite?   Spend a relaxing day in the garden enjoying selected readings of Jane Austin, by a local artisan dressed in period costume. Take part in a favorite game of the era, Simile and win a prize if you are the last correct participant. Come in a period bonnet and gloves, and be entered in a special door prize drawing. Flower themed complimentary refreshments will be on offer.
Three special events planned for your enjoyment in beautiful gardens featuring our star plant - the daylily. Come and enjoy a relaxing day in lovely Carroll County.
